About Us
Lake Tallavana is a
private gated community located in Havana, Florida and is just minutes north of the
state capital, Tallahassee. The Tallavana Homeowners'
Association (THA) is comprised of volunteers from the community who work
diligently to protect our community. We have a Corporate
Secretary who handles the essential day to day activities of the
Association.
Some
things to know when moving to Lake Tallavana
We are governed by our Covenants, Rules and
Restrictions. It would be wise to read these rules before
purchasing a home here to know what you can and cannot do within the
community. We have a volunteer committee called the
Architectural Control Committee (ACC) whose sole purpose is to
review all requests to build or modify permanent structures. Meaning, before you paint your house pink or build a storage shed you
would need to seek permission from the ACC prior
to proceeding with your planned project.
Refer to the
File Archives link above to
get a copy of our Covenants, Rules and Restrictions.
Please also
refer to the Contact Info link above to get contact
information for Board members, Corporate Secretary or ACC Chairman.
Note: the late Bob Harrer spent incalculable hours drawing, sizing and illustrating the map above. It was HIS creation and design, his manhours and labor and the THA graciously thanks him and his family.
Lake Tallavana 25MPH Speed Limit
We all know that the speed limit on
Lake Tallavana roads is 25 mph; sadly though, there
are some individuals who fail to comply. We have a number of walkers, joggers and bicycle
riders who are on the road almost daily, and their
safety is at risk when someone speeds through the
development.
FYI: It takes about 8
minutes to drive one way from the end of Tallavana
Trail to the gate, so please allow yourself at least that
much time when planning to drive somewhere outside the Lake Tallavana area.
Please slow down and help keep our community safe for all of us!
